Start with the destination and the exact device

Compare the country or region you are in with the purchased plan. RedotPay says validity starts at the first local-network connection at the destination. Installation alone does not establish that the plan has connected there.

If installation itself is incomplete, first use the exact-model, region and carrier compatibility checklist. RedotPay treats its device list as a general guide; confirm a variant's support with its manufacturer or carrier.

Check the data line rather than the line used for calls

RedotPay's initial connection checks are to enable data roaming and select the installed eSIM for mobile data. Apply the roaming change to the intended travel line; distinguish it from your usual SIM when reviewing your phone's settings.

On an iPhone, Apple documents Settings → Cellular or Mobile Data → Cellular Data, then the line you want to use. Apple says only one cellular-data network is used at a time. The default voice number and data selection are separate settings. On another device, use its manufacturer's instructions; menu names can differ.

Use the plan state to choose the next action

  • No data remains on a standard plan: RedotPay says service stops when that allowance is used. Inspect the installed eSIM's supported top-up options.
  • An unlimited plan is connected but slow: its daily high-speed allowance may have been used. RedotPay describes reduced-speed data until the next daily reset while the plan remains active. This differs from a total loss of connection.
  • A refill is Queued: it may be waiting for the standard plan's remaining data to run out. Check the order history before purchasing another refill.
  • A refill is Processing: wait for its status rather than making another payment. RedotPay asks for the order ID if processing persists.

Use the eSIM top-up guide for refill eligibility and order states. A completed top-up updates the existing plan without another installation or QR scan.

If the connection still fails, use the order's own help

RedotPay directs users to Can't connect to your eSIM? in the order details after the initial connection checks. Its travel eSIM is data-only; an absent phone number or inability to receive an SMS code is a product limitation, not a mobile-data diagnosis.

Keep a short record of the destination, device variant, order status, remaining allowance and exact error. Note which data line was selected when the problem occurred. These details help distinguish the stages of the problem; they do not establish a carrier outage or guarantee a remedy.

Card-order promo codes do not repair or discount an eSIM

SAVE2 is for an eligible virtual-card order; DZ100 is for an eligible physical-card order. Enter the matching code in the promo field at card checkout only if that card and field are offered to your account. Check current conditions and the final app total. Neither code restores data connectivity or discounts an eSIM purchase or refill. The operator confirmed card-code usability on October 27, 2026; this publisher ran no new checkout test. See the card-order code conditions.

Frequently asked questions

My RedotPay eSIM is installed. What should I check first?

At the covered destination, check the selected cellular-data line and data roaming, then inspect the plan's status and remaining data.

Does slow data mean I must buy another plan?

Not necessarily. RedotPay says an active unlimited plan can continue at reduced speed after its daily high-speed allowance is used. Inspect your plan details before another purchase.

Does topping up require a new eSIM installation?

RedotPay says a completed top-up updates the existing eSIM without reinstalling it or scanning another QR code.

Can SAVE2 or DZ100 restore eSIM data or reduce its price?

No. SAVE2 applies to an eligible virtual-card order and DZ100 to an eligible physical-card order in the matching card-checkout promo field, subject to current conditions. They do not repair or discount eSIM service.
