What this guide can and can't confirm

This is an independent guide, not an official RedotPay or AI-provider resource. It can confirm RedotPay's published card fees and general decline-troubleshooting steps. It cannot confirm that ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or any other specific AI subscription checkout accepts RedotPay for your account, country, or billing currency — that is decided by the merchant's payment processor, not by RedotPay or this site.

Treat the first charge as a test.Try one billing cycle before relying on the card for a subscription you can't afford to have interrupted.

Get a card before you try

  1. Register and complete KYCOpen an account and finish identity verification in the RedotPay app.
  2. Apply for virtual or physicalA virtual card is usually faster to use online. Enter RED10 (virtual) or RED100 (physical) at card checkout for a 20% issuance discount, then confirm the final price in the app.
  3. Fund the accountAdd enough balance to cover the subscription price plus the conversion fees below — crypto-funded cards don't pull from a bank account automatically.

Fees that apply to a subscription charge

Use RedotPay's published Help Center figures — a monthly AI subscription is a recurring charge, so small fees compound over renewals.

  • Crypto conversion / transaction fee: 1.00% on the charge.
  • Non-default currency transaction: 1.20% if the subscription bills in a currency other than your card's default.
  • Declined transaction fee: first 3 declines per month are waived, then $0.50 each — repeated failed renewal attempts can add up.
  • Account maintenance: waived — no separate monthly fee just for holding the card.

The RED10 / RED100 discount applies to the one-time card issuance fee, not to the recurring subscription price itself.

If a subscription payment is declined

  • Check the card is not frozen and online transactions are enabled in the app.
  • Confirm the subscription's billing currency is enabled for settlement on your card.
  • Make sure the balance covers the charge plus the conversion fee, not just the sticker price.
  • Some AI providers re-attempt a failed renewal automatically — repeated attempts on an insufficient balance can trigger the declined-transaction fee above.

For a full checklist, see the card payment declined guide.

Keep it funded ahead of renewal

Subscription billing dates are set by the provider, not by RedotPay. Add funds a day or two before the known renewal date rather than exactly on it, since crypto deposits can take a few minutes to confirm.

Frequently asked questions

Does RedotPay have an official partnership with OpenAI, Google, or Anthropic?

No official partnership is published by RedotPay for ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or other AI subscriptions. The card works as a general-purpose online payment card, and acceptance depends on the merchant's own payment processor.

What promo code applies to an AI subscription charge?

RED10 and RED100 apply only to the one-time virtual or physical card issuance fee, not to recurring subscription charges.

Why was my AI subscription payment declined?

Common causes are a frozen card, online transactions disabled, an unfunded balance, or the billing currency not enabled for settlement. See the card payment declined guide for the full checklist.

What fees should I expect on a monthly AI subscription?

RedotPay's published fees include a 1.00% crypto conversion fee and a 1.20% non-default currency fee when they apply, plus a $0.50 fee per decline after the first three free declines each month.
