Picking a different country at registration is not a way to get a RedotPay card as an Indian resident. As of 16 September 2026, India is on RedotPay's official Card Issuance Restrictions list. That list says listed residents are ineligible for both virtual and physical cards, and that those locations cannot be registered as billing addresses. An earlier version of this page described an "other country" residence path followed by a virtual card. That guidance was wrong and has been withdrawn.

Corrected on 16 September 2026. All three official Help Center restriction pages were read that day: India is on Card Issuance Restrictions (which states listed residents are ineligible for both virtual and physical cards and that those locations cannot be registered as billing addresses) and on Card Delivery Restrictions, and is absent from Unsupported Countries/Regions. Why this page changed

The earlier version relied on partner guidance that Indian users could select an alternative residence option in the app when India was not listed by name, then open a virtual card. Two things make that unsafe to recommend:

India is on the Card Issuance Restrictions list, so the card itself cannot be issued to Indian residents.
The same list bars India as a billing address, and residence and address are exactly what KYC checks. Declaring a residence you do not have is a misrepresentation, and a failed check can cost you the account.

Card Issuance Restrictions: India is on it — both card types, and no Indian billing address.

If your real, documented residence is in another country that is not restricted, register with that country and your own documents — that is not a workaround, it is simply your residence. Do not use a borrowed address or someone else's documents.
