Before you start KYC in India

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Use one account for yourself—do not open a second account after a decline.
  • Have the original document ready (not a photocopy, screenshot, or photo of a photo).
  • Keep remaining validity of at least 3 months when the app requires it.
  • Use a bright, steady camera for any face scan; keep your face centered.
  • If you registered when India was not listed by name, still use your real identity documents—do not invent a foreign identity.

Common India KYC failure patterns

  1. Wrong document typeOnly submit a type the app lists for your verification path. Do not assume every Indian ID variant is accepted.
  2. Blurry, cropped, or glare-heavy photosRetake with the full document visible, sharp text, and no fingers covering fields.
  3. Name / date of birth / ID number mismatchMatch the app fields to the document exactly, including spelling and order of names.
  4. Identity already linked to another accountContact official in-app support; do not create yet another account.
  5. Expired or low-validity documentUse a document that still meets the app’s remaining-validity rule.
  6. Face scan environmentPoor lighting or movement can fail liveness checks—retry once in better conditions, then stop rapid retries.

What this page will not invent

There is no public Help Center page that publishes a complete India-only accepted-document table. This guide therefore does not list Aadhaar vs passport vs DL as guaranteed. Follow the types shown in your app. For general preparation, see the site’s accepted documents overview and KYC help.

After KYC: virtual card only for India delivery

When verification succeeds and Card is available, open a virtual card and apply RED10 at checkout (official application fee $10.00; 20% off → target $8.00 if applied). India is listed on the official Card Delivery Restrictions page—physical delivery to India is not available.

Is RedotPay legal in India?

RedotPay publishes compliance lists, not a legal certificate. India is not on the unsupported-country or card-issuance restriction pages in this August 21, 2026 review, and is on the Card Delivery Restrictions list. That is an availability signal, not legal advice. KYC outcomes remain account-specific.

My India KYC keeps failing—what should I do?

Fix document type, photo quality, and field matching; then contact official in-app support with the exact error. Do not create a second account or use someone else’s ID.

Can I finish KYC and still get a physical card in India?

KYC success does not unlock physical delivery to India. India is listed on the official Card Delivery Restrictions page—use a virtual card with RED10.
